An office job...

This week I worked on a fun project for a client's office.  She wanted a fluffing of her office along with some new drapes for the window.   She wanted something dramatic for this space.

Lamp from Tuesday Morning

The black and white drapes are from Target and measured 84".  Since the window is so tall we needed to add something to them to give them the height and drama that she wanted.  I found some pretty fabric on sale in a rust red colour that I knew she loved and added a band of it at the bottom of the ready made drapes.  Then we took lightweight plywood and constructed the cornice boxes and covered them in the same red rust material.  The scroll pieces were ones that she had previously hanging on the wall.  We gave them a coat of matte black paint and attached them to the front of the cornice boards to add some interest and tie into the black and white of the Target panels.
The client loved them, and I think that they really make a huge impact in this small space.
