Pear Tree Greetings Giveaway...

Sara has started the tradition of giving out personalized Valentine's cards to her friends.  She loves choosing the photo(s) and the layout, along with the wording and deciding who will recieve them.  One of Sara's personality traits that I adore is her blatant honesty.  She will always offer a hug or an I love you, and you never have to wonder where you stand with her.  Sara will tell you her favourite holiday is Christmas, but Valentine's Day is a serious contender for first place.   It's the one day of the year that speaks Sara's complete love language- words of affirmation, touch and gifts of appreciation.

This year we were contacted by Pear Tree Greetings to choose some cards for Sara and then host a giveaway for our readers.  We looked through all of the card options and decided to use their Valentine's Day Photo Cards.

Sara knew that this year she wanted to include a picture of her and William aka 'hot tamale' as well as a photo of herself.  So we went with these...

Then we looked through the various designs and settled on the Kid's Valentine's Photo Cards Photo Paper Happy Heart Day.  Sara loved that she could add her name along with some x's and o's...

Sara's favourite Valentine memory is the first Valentine's Day that her and William celebrated as boyfriend and girlfriend.  She walked in and he was standing there holding balloons and flowers along with a very large box of chocolates.  I know his parents well, and I can honestly say they raised that boy right!  Sara was so over the moon about it and had so much fun telling everyone that approached the table that he was hers.  They have been dating now for two years,  and they are hands down one of the cutest couples I've ever known.  Not that I am biased or anything, but when your daughter is born and you are given the laundry list of things they will never do and then by golly they DO  those things- well, you celebrate it.  Big.

Leave a comment and tell me your favourite Valentine memory and Sara and I will choose a winner to receive a $25 credit to Pear Tree Greetings to pick out your own Valentine's cards!   We will choose a winner by February 1st.  Good Luck...

xoxo,

  1. Love Sara's cards... and I love that sassy outfit she's styling on the stairs. OK, favorite Valentine memory. My hubby had worked overseas for a year while I stayed at home. When his job was done, he 'kidnapped' me for a Valentine weekend at a wonderful B&B. Flowers, candy, dinner and breakfast. He even sneaked my kitty out so she was there when we arrived. It was fabulous.

  2. Love Sara's cards and the pictures she picked for the card.
My husband and I had a long distance relationship before we married 23 years ago. He lived in Charleston SC and I lived in Duncansville PA. For our first Valentines together my parents allowed me( I was only 18) to fly to SC. When we arrived to his apartment he had prepared dinner and had the table set with roses. He made a cake that he decorated with m-n-ms that spelled out I love you and a large white teddy bear that was holding a ring. I was speechless but knew at that moment he was a keeper.

  4. We were engaged on Valentine's Day! It was so cute, he was nervous all day, had the ring in his left pocket and would make me walk on the right of him so I wouldn't see the box. When it came time for dinner, he had the restaurant bring out a dessert that read "Will you marry me?" I was so in shock that the Chef even came out and asked my answer again. Of course it was yes and we've been married 7 years now. Valentine's will always be my special holiday!

  5. I love that Sara and William have gone together for 2 years. So sweet. I do understand about celebrating the highs. She's a cutie.
My favorite Valentines Day experience is probably the one where I had baked all these cookies and had everything ready for more than one Valentine Party at school. Then it snowed and snowed and snowed. School was cancelled and the kids were so down. So we had the party anyway in our snowed in house. It was on a Friday and there wasn't school on the following Monday. It wouldn't have been the same if they had to wait 4 more days.
Happy valentines to you and your family.

  6. I enjoy watching Sara and know that my Gracie will be fine. My favorite Valentine day was not a happy day but in retrospect all I can do is laugh. 21 years ago when my son was born I made a nice dinner for my DH but he didn't have dinner with me. Instead he went with two coworkers to happy hour because the single guy was hating valentines since he had no valentine. So instead he took out to married men on Valentine's day. My Hubby is often referred to as Raymond from Everybody Loves Raymond for this knucklehead move. Needless to say he makes it home for Valentine's dinner. ❤️

  7. I don't know if it was a favorite Valentine Day but it sure was a memorable one! When I was a junior in high school, I found out on Valentine's Day that I had mono. No smooches for me or from me! Sara and her boyfriend are so sweet together. I wish them many years of happiness!
