Master bath choices...

Along with finalizing the kitchen design choices, we also chose our bath fixtures and tile this past week.  The tile will go in next week, so then we will just be sitting tight until the kitchen cabinets arrive.

So here's the plan...

The shower and tub surround will be in white matte finish 3x6 subway tile with light gray grout.  We will include a niche in each bath to hold shampoo bottles and soap:

The bath and shower floor will be in this octagon honed Carrara marble:

The shower door will be a seamless glass door.  The bathroom is tiny, so I am thinking it may need to swing in rather than out.

The sink will be a $39 wall mount sink from Lowes.  I plan on dressing it up with a lovely skirt:

The faucets are Moen Banbury from Home Depot:

The medicine cabinet is this lovely vintage piece from Pottery Barn:

Towel racks will be my favourite vintage hotel hangers, just like we used in the last house.  Sconces will probably be outdoor fixtures to bring in a bit of rustic to the bathrooms.

Like the kitchen, I am trying to pick fixtures and finishes that are classic, not trendy.  The plan is to stay put in this house for a very long time.   The art and furnishings are so much easier to change out and play around with!

  2. I am so in awe of hard earned wealth at the moment. It gives the ability to have just what you want in a short space of time. Your choices are beautiful.
