Ever have one of those weeks (okay, two weeks) where it feels like your life plate is so full that you ought to trade up to the LouAnne platter?
Yeah. Like that.
As I drifted off to sleep last night I mumbled something to Travis about how I wish the kids were still in diapers. Things were so easy then, (no they weren't, but hindsight is always like a Hallmark commercial) and that teenagers are hard. I may have whined and held out the word "hard" longer than required. Travis just patted my hand, told me he loved me and proceeded to snore. Does anyone else's husband fall asleep in less than three seconds? He could medal in the Olympics at falling asleep.
I do have some great posts in mind and I will be back soon. I just need a few more days to catch my breath and well, breathe.

Yes, my husband is the same way. He hits the pillow and he is out. HE can even drink all the caffeine he wants. ME on the other hand, sometimes take me til 3 in the morning when I am exhausted. Just not fair.
ReplyDeleteLife with teens can be challenging but wanting them back in diapers might not be the best either, hah.
Yep, breathe... your decorating style and ideas are worth the wait ;)
ReplyDeleteThis post could not have been more timely. My husband and I were just saying that VERY thing this very day! I feel you. My mother-in-law said something about your kids being teenagers: You love them, always love them, but man you really don't like them. Amen.
ReplyDeleteMine husband is the same way. I'll be in the bathroom talking to him about something that I think is important and he is sound to sleep. Drives me batty but you would think after 23 years I would learn to catch him before he gets into bed.
ReplyDeleteYes breath. Take all the time you need. I agree with Abby your ideas are well worth the wait.
I read your post to my husband and he laughed and said "yep, that's me". Yes! Teenagers are harrrddd to deal with. But with the pressures of this world on them my heart bleeds for them. I pray everyday for mine.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, it is hard,I mean really hard! Mine are now 37,34 and 30.....it gets so much better, don't wish for diapers!
ReplyDeletePS....yes my husband can fall asleep faster than anyone, I talk to him over dinner!!
