I had to make a decision this week regarding the new tile in our master bathroom. I am still a die-hard fan of subway tile- it's classic and I love it.
The choice was whether to go with 3x6, which we have in our kitchen:
Or to go with 4x8:
I chose the 4x8- less grout to clean and a bigger look for our tiny shower. We are also opting to omit the shower seat. It never was of much use, simply took up too much room in our already cramped shower. We are also going to upgrade our shower head to something more like this:
I'm on the fence about grey grout. I know it's practical and in style, but it just looks dirty to me. Any thoughts or opinions on this one?

I think the tiles are wonderful. They go with so many different decors. Love them. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteLove the tiles. Go with your gut on the grout. You will be happier in the long run I'll bet. ;D
ReplyDeleteI love the tiles and your shower head upgrade. We also have a shower seat. I really wish that trend had passed when we built. I'm not sure if we have every even used it and ours too takes up a lot of space. As far as the grout go with what makes you happy.
ReplyDeleteI love subway tile and your choice sounds great. I would not be a help with grout as our bathroom floor and tub surround has white 8x8 tile with grey grout and the shower stall has 4x4 white tile with white grout,.
ReplyDeleteSkip the grey, it will always look dirty.
ReplyDeleteNo seat? Don't you sit to shave your legs? My wife is bugging me to redo the shower and put a seat in.
I find that the seat just ate up too much room in the shower. I can shave in the tub with a glass of wine!
DeleteGo with the color of grout you want, and just make sure it's sealed properly.
ReplyDeleteYep! Made that mistake last time. We assumed the builder would seal it, but NOPE!
