Mini-Maternity leave...

Violet is getting settled in here at the cottage.  Thank you for all of your sweet comments about her!  We are loving getting to know her and all of her quirks ;)  She goes to the vet today, and then a spa day on Thursday.  This little girl is getting pampered- justly deserved since her first few years have not been so pleasant.

I will be off line for a few days- taking a bit of a new mommy break,  but I will be back to show you a completed console and reorganization of Sara's room by Friday.

"My dad has the most comfy pillow!"

Violet & Jack

If you are thinking about adding a dog to your family- think of a rescue pup!  Knowing that we have saved this little girl's life makes her all the more sweeter :)

  4. Our little sweetie will be 14 next week. She is still doing great and walks (no longer runs) on the beach every morning. She was one when we got her and when she leaves us, we will definitely get a rescue dog.

    Yours looks like a sweetie.

  5. Rescues are the best. I hate to think of their past but you can make their futures so nice. Such cute little doggies.

  11. Bless you for rescuing/adopting this precious one
I always say "don't breed or buy, while shelter animals die"
    I have all rescues, myself
    Bless you always

  12. Your new fur baby is absolutely adorable! I am so happy to hear you rescued an animal...I've only had cats, but all of them have either been strays that I've taken in, or adopted from a shelter. There are so many dogs and cats in shelters that need good homes; why encourage breeding more animals through a breeder, or heaven forbid, a puppy mill? I also just read about Sara's 21st birthday - loved all the pictures, she looked so happy!
