We have gone headboard-less for a while now. Thinking of using an old painted five panel door. |
I love monograms and put them everywhere! |
I have ordered material from Joannes fabric to make curtain panels. It's the same material Miss.Mustard Seed is using in her bedroom. Imitation is the best form of flattery- and I am smitten with this design!
The dictionary was given to me by my dad. We both share a love of old books- especially dictionaries! |
I will be sure to update our room after I get the material sewn and up. I am also having some new shams made for the bed and possibly a bedskirt using my favourite painter's drop cloth material. I'm even thinking about switching out the lamps for hanging chandy's over the night-stands/dressers.
I'll keep you posted as this room evolves!
Stunning! Just simply beautiful
ReplyDeleteI love the light naturals! Beautiful room! xo
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! The blue is subtle- was ready for a change :)
DeleteLove your room....the colors are perfect! Where did you get that ADORABLE pouf or ottoman in the corner?

Karianne- That was a Tuesday Morning find. I think there are still a few out there!
DeleteWell, I've just found your blog today and am having way too much fun exploring! I love your home and style, and got such a kick out of your Dead and Dinner page. My hubby and I started watching the series a few weeks ago and are about 2/3 through season 2. We're hooked. I'm off to go explore some more (I just love discovering new and inspiring blogs =)
ReplyDeleteAndrea- I have been looking through yours too! So glad you found Holly-she is an awesome Texas gal through and through! Zombies bring family & friends together- we LOVE our dead and dinner nights!
DeleteBlue has never been my favorite color - or at least I didn't think so! But that fabric like MMS is really getting to me! I love it and I think it's going to look great in your room. Do you buy drop cloths from a certain home improvement center? My favs are from Lowes.
ReplyDeleteI love the Lowes drop cloths! They laugh at how many I buy at a time. They know I am a painter, but the drop cloths are for decorating :)
DeleteHi Tricia! I'm stopping in from Brenda's where you are featured today. I am swooning over your bedroom, such soft pretty colors! I can't wait to see what you use for a headboard and how the curtains turn out. Everything is so pretty already! Now, I'm going to peek around your blog a bit more!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Jane- Welcome! I've been to your blog- just lovely! Not sure what to do on the headboard. I thought maybe an old door, but with the old window and screen I'm afraid it's going to look like I raided the salvage yard. I'm thinking I may go with a fabric covered headboard instead. Simple & soft!
DeleteLove everything about your room, especially the armoire and the monogrammed pieces. Coming over from The Dedicated House. I'm your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim! Welcome to my little cottage :)

DeleteI love your cottage! So cute! Where did you snatch up those gorgeous cross back kitchen chairs?! I LOVE them!
ReplyDeleteThe chairs are from World Market. I love the Restoration Hardware version, but the World Market ones fit my budget :) They have held up great!
DeleteOh, sooo beautiful - you've done a lovely job!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
Deletesimply beautiful! do you embroidery your pillow cases?
ReplyDeleteI have them done. I wish I had that talent! Jill of Sew a Fine Seam (http://www.sewafineseam.com/) can do that!
DeleteHi! Found this room at blogger homes! beautiful, i love all the little details. Can I ask what color you have on your walls? I'm looking for a nice cream color for our bedroom. thx!
ReplyDeleteDawn- It is Moderate White by Sherwin Williams. It is a very creamy white. I have also used Ralph Lauren's Sail Cloth and love it as well. We used that in our laundry room :)
DeleteYour bedroom is beautiful! I love the dark wood floors and the neutral color scheme. The armoire is stunning. Can't wait to see what the new shams look like on the bed.
