One of my most favourite junk store finds was a French market basket that I found sitting in a corner, covered with blankets....not to mention the cobwebs and dirt! I only paid $30 dollars for it and drove off like I stole it.
The baskets were originally designed to hold flowers and long baguettes of bread. Mine holds paper flowers and eucalyptus (love the smell of that stuff- I must have been a koala in a past life!)

ReplyDeleteWhat a great find. I love old tool boxes and I recently found one in perfect condition for $30.00. I have it in our living room with some of my other favorite things sitting on top of it.

ReplyDeleteI have many...sigh. Too many to pick a favorite. Hmmmm right now my old chippy blue door that I am currently cutting and nailing a frame together to make me a kitchen island out of it. It's the same blue door I had in the corner of my old dining room, with nothing to do with it, but hang junk on.
The more I think.....my best favorite steal, would my current Little House on Love Ave. And it was a steal too for only $25k. :)))
That is the best steal of all time! I love what you have done to your little cottage- perfection! The flowers were from Ballard Designs, my mom gave them to me :)

ReplyDeleteHi Deborah! The flowers are from Ballard Designs. My mom bought two bushels of them and gave one to me. I didn't know what to do with them, so I popped them into the basket and there they stayed :)
