Quality DIY time in the cottage kitchen....

Mini kitchen reno begins tomorrow....entertaining the idea of repainting the cabinets:

BM:  Rockport Gray- lower cabinets

SW: Morning Dove- Upper Cabinets

SW: Iron Ore- Island

We ordered the GE Cafe appliances and they will be in on the 16th....so until then the plan is to take down the upper cabinets, install open shelving, build a surround for the fridge and modify the lower cabinets to incorporate large pull out drawers for the pots & pans.  We also want to take the granite top off of the island and put in a butcher block top.  

This is what our kitchen looks like now:

Hubby is taking two weeks of vacation time to do this for me (birthday/anniversary present) I look forward to working with him over the next two weeks- I love our DIY time together : o )
