Putting the hat back on...

This time in a good way. We are having an 18th birthday celebration for Sara here at my parent's house. Fajitas, margaritas & sparklers by the pool. Nothing fancy, just good friends and good food to bring in Sara's milestone birthday.

I'm taking the 16th off to get her Texas ID at the DMV, then off for mani/pedis, followed by lunch at her favourite restaurant, and then the prom later that evening. This year's prom will be a country western theme, so I will be hitting Cavendar's to cowgirl her up.

I'm looking at 18 as the beginning of a new chapter in Sara's life. One that will reveal where she may work one day, or new interests and friends she will find along the way.

I have to say, this party hat fits much better on me.
