I spent another two hours in my classroom today. It's 100+ outside, no AC running in the school, and I was wearing jeans. I had class all day at the University and the AC there works overtime. I seriously considered bringing a fleece blanket so that the chattering of my teeth wouldn't drown out the Professor trying to lecture. So I leave there every day, drive ten minutes down the road and entire the hot zone.
I think I've lost five pounds this week. From sweating. Not kidding.
In other news the room is looking less disaster like to me and more workable. It's amazing what I got accomplished in just two hours with no kids. I got my book nook organized and my mini-lesson area is pulling together nicely. I decided to do away with a conferencing table, and just float around the room to conference with students. I'm planning on going up tomorrow after class and putting in a few more hours. I have a TON of things I can be doing from home, so that will happen this weekend.
Oh, I should probably go to the store and stock up on deodorant too.
I'm not certain its possible for your butt to look big but I can smell you from WV. Aaahhhh, the sweet scent of schoolyard sweat. Yum.
