This and that...

I'm in my last week of the Writing Project at the University. Yesterday we spent half the day watching a performance of Poetry Alive! and then another two hours in a workshop on how to incorporate it into our own classrooms. It was amazing! I cannot wait to use this with my 5th graders. The funny thing was that the lead guy looked and sounded EXACTLY like George Carlin. Even funnier the teacher next to me had no idea who George Carlin was- she's only 26. I feel so old!

Travis should have Anne's bed and bookcase finished this weekend. So hopefully I can get finished room pics posted by Sunday night.

David is leaving on Saturday to spend a week in Colorado with his best friend Sam and his family. He is just so grown up this summer. He is starting to drive- or I should say learning and narrowly avoiding hitting the mailbox. Ah, the joy of having teenagers.

Dr.Sister is looking at buying a lake house and boat this summer. The house they found needs some decorating. I am totally up for that job!

I am off next week, so the school shopping will begin. I have one week to pull it all together and deep clean my house before the mayhem of a new school year begins.

Can I just say how much I am enjoying my new and improved laundry room? Just needed to say that again.

Off to my new classroom this afternoon after my class lets out. I need to get that room pulled together. I hate disorganization.
