Cottage garden...
Travis spent the better part of the weekend finishing up our new and improved "simpler beds". We, and by "we" I mean Travis ; o ), tore out all the holly bushes that lined the back fence and put in two smaller rock lined beds. He found a beautiful Crepe Myrtle to replace the sad Charlie Brown palm tree and we filled in the bed using white plumbago. I will probably add some blue daze to put along the edge. The opposite side has another rock bed with a purple butterfly bush and yellow iris underneath. I will add something that flowers in white that can drape the edges on that one. I am all about the draping when it comes to the garden. We also found a pineapple plant for Anne to keep on the porch. She is my Florida girl and loves anything tropical.
I ordered the outdoor curtains for the patio and we are looking into stains for the patio itself. The ceiling is painted Palladian Blue by Sherwin Williams and there are two fans I found on Amazon to move the air around.
We are so close to calling this project finished!
