I'm headed out to Galveston's Salvage Warehouse to see what pieces I can find for some transformations....I really want some chunky balustrades to make lamps out of. I found one a few weeks ago at Urban Market that Travis is going to help me with:

I'll be back this weekend to show you what I found. This is a crazy hectic time of year and we have dance recital (Anne's 12th!) this weekend at The Grand. It's funny how we live so close to the island, but it is usually only dance recital weekend that we visit.

Looooove me some vintage corbels! Oh, and what's with that first comment lol
ReplyDeleteAndrea- SPAM! Hate those things ;) Corbels are such a great way to add character to a newer home.
DeleteI want to go there!! Hope you find something(s) fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love salvaged items especially windows and corbels. Looking forward to seeing if you find a chunky balustrade and how you transform it into a lamp.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Oooo - so many windows!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go there too. We found a salvage place here in Dallas but it seemed like things were so high. Maybe some time you could tell us what a good going price is on certain things. I would love to add some corbels here and there but the prices are so all over the place that it's perplexing. You know?
ReplyDeleteStacey- Yeah, I see that too! They have gotten higher on ebay and etsy lately. I think it 's the "supply & demand" thing! I did see some that I though were reasonably priced in Galveston.
