In the design world there is much debate over whether or not to paint wood.
Obviously in my line of work I opt for painted....it's not just my job- it's always been my preference.
But, some oppose. Like my son would say, "It's just not my cup of tea".
I know, he is an 85 year old man from another century trapped in a 12 year old's body.
You can blame his mother....she is a 44 year old who thinks and talks like she is from 1940 ;)
I went back and worked on the monogram that I added to the top of this piece...
I'm liking it....
But then it is my cup of tea ;)
Off to the workshop with Sara this afternoon. I will come back with some pictures of what we've been working on.
Have a lovely day!

Thank you, Suzan :)
DeleteMy cup of tea for sure!!! When I go to furniture stores all they seem to sell is the dark wood, so we have no choice...but your pieces look so original and go with your decor!! The dark wood is nice, but does not go with many homes now... I love it! and have to tell you..
ReplyDeleteI look fwd coming here every morning you give me hope!! that one day I will decorate like you!!!
Marissa- Awww you are too sweet! :)
DeleteI generally prefered natural wood and stains to paint, at least on furniture. That being said, you do a wonderful job painting and I'd have no issue putting anything you've created in my home.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vince- gotta get up that way one day!
