Traditions...

One Christmas tradition that we do every year is from my Dad's German side. The Christmas Pickle. Each year Santa hides the pickle on the tree when he comes on Christmas Eve, then the kids race out to the tree to try and be the first to spot the pickle. This year it was David. Grand prize? A Chick-Fil-A milkshake.

What holiday traditions do you have?

  4. Our Christmas tradition is each kid gets an ornament every year. Then when they leave the nest they get to take their ornaments with them. (We try to label the boxes with names and years). I did this growing up and still love to get the ones out to put on the tree from when I was little.

  6. We do the same thing with the Christmas Pickle. Kid that finds it first gets to open the first present. Other than that, our only other Christmas tradition is going to Mass at 11 so we can sleep in and have plenty of present opening time.
