It's all in the details...

I think Travis is ready for me to go back to work. Seriously- this decorating kick and shopping spree is getting a wee bit out of control. When you tell yourself that the house is almost done, yet you keep dreaming up new and improved projects...well, it's really time to go back to work.

Here are some detail pics of the laundry room. Since I cannot put anything on the newly painted surfaces until they cure...I am having to just put them there long enough for a quick pic then take them back off. I am not good at waiting. Travis has scolded me countless times for putting do-dahs up long before the paint was dry.

I'm really trying to show some restraint over here..

  1. All those pictures up there? the first thought that came to my mind is "how on earth does she dust those things?"

You can thank my grandma for that. Dusting was her pet peeve. :D

  2. Those are all kid creations which used to hang on the wall opposite the w & d. I decided to put them up there because I didn't want to hang all of them again, and we kept bumping into them when we would all rush out the door : )

  3. I'm drooling here! What is the measurement of your laundry room? It seems huge!

  4. Travis is in the wrong line of work. Looks like he could use the summer off as well. Just think of how much you could get done!!!

Travis, if you're back in college in a couple of months, getting your teaching degree, I'm truly sorry... :)

  5. Lindy- It's 11.5 ft. by 6 ft. Really, not that large. I think the lighter colour helped to open it up, that and he built everything along the one wall. Thanks for stopping by : )

Michelle- Don't go giving him any ideas...his job funds the fix-ups : ) A teacher's salary wouldn't get us too far!

  6. You need some wheels on that big silver trash can, get it under cover and out of view. Nice work on the painting, and yes, how often do you dust all that stuff?

  7. Joeinvegas- LOL. Hubby didn't like it either, it's very Oscar the Grouch, but with 4 kids & 2 adults I NEEDED a big trash can. I will probably go with something else now that the room is done. Oh..I dust every other day- obsessive I know...

  10. Brighton- Yeah, but you live in California. I live in Texas, which in the summer time is like living in Satan's crotch. I'll take nice weather over a laundry room any day!
